Story 3: The Night of the Shooting Stars: Hedgehog Learns Not to Be Afraid of the Dark
It was a special night in the woods, one of those nights when the sky fills with shooting stars.
Once upon a time, in a small enchanted village, there was a girl named Gloria.
Gloria was known for her kind heart, her long, soft pink cloak, and her magical hands that helped mothers bring their babies into the world with love and care.
Every time a new baby was born, Gloria was there, ready to care for them with a sweet and reassuring smile.
Dear Gloria had a dream: to find a special friend who could help her comfort newborns, lull them to sleep peacefully, and watch them grow happily. She wished for this friend to be soft, affectionate, and full of unconditional love.
One day, as Gloria strolled through the forest, she spotted a fluffy pink cloud resting beneath a big tree. Approaching gently, she realized it wasn’t a cloud but a tiny, tender little sheep! She was so soft and delicate that she seemed straight out of a sweet dream. The little sheep was fast asleep, dreaming of floating among the twinkling stars.
Gloria softly whispered, "Hello, little sheep, what’s your name?"
The sheep slowly opened her tiny eyes and yawned. "My name is Pinky," she said in a voice as sweet as honey. "I love sleeping and dreaming of faraway worlds, but I’ve always wished for many friends."
Gloria smiled tenderly and exclaimed, "Pinky, I need your precious help. Would you come with me and help me lull babies to sleep? They need someone to cuddle them with love and make them feel safe."
Pinky jumped to her feet, her big eyes now sparkling with joy. "It would be a dream come true! But... what if I’m not good enough?"
Gloria gently stroked Pinky’s head, reassuring her with heartfelt words: "You’re perfect just the way you are. Your love and endless sweetness are all that the children need."
Pinky joined Gloria and became her loyal companion. Whenever newborns cried, Pinky would wrap them in her soft, warm wool, and with a gentle touch, she helped them drift off to sleep.
Together, every night, they counted sheep and shared sweet, peaceful dreams under the starry sky.
